BMW in F1 for the Long Haul

BMW appears to be in F1 for the long haul , deciding to battle with the likes of Toyota and Ferrari in becoming a "multiple team engine supplier." Good move by bimmer in my opinion. No doubt, that team would be on Michelin's and will supply info back to Williams.

BMW confirmed that have been in talks with

**update**

BMW are in talks to buy out the Sauber team completely, so come 2006 we may see BMW F1 and Williams "whatever"

BMW F1 are:
-not seeing the results they would have liked with Williams
-would like to take over Sauber's new state of the art wind tunnel
-do what Toyota has done in order to have complete control

BMW's approach was to 1. first to step out of F1, 2. to build a team from scratch like Toyota did, and 3. third to buy a good team, which Sauber is.

They have now chose solution 3
