Default black matte..

Hi Guys,
Its currently red 04, but i am fed up of the color. red is just not me, at least the s2k red. I used to have an 02 sebring silver which i liked, but im thinking about going with black matte or maybe a gunmetal satin.
has anybody seen our cars in a matte finish?

Matte would look great with black rims, hardtop and slight tinted windows :-)

Mine is a satin black which looks pretty good IMO...definitely distinct. The previous owner did it after it was rebuilt. Here is a photo he has up of the car:

It's sepia but you can still see the finish.

if by "matte" you mean flat black, i'm not a fan of the flat black look... to me it looks unfinished.

look in wash and wax forum, someone posted up there wondering how to clean his car... it was flat black... but you can't wax or polish it because then it won't be flat anymore... basically if you have that non glossy dull/flat look and someone puts a fingerprint on your car, it's a pita to get off...

Mikey, if you painted other than NFR, would you just tape off the engine or what? Otherwise you would have red engine paint unless you are willing to spend 5k + for a paint job.

ya, not impressed with that flat blk look..some cars its looks allright.
im going to check out the forum and see what i like, i was expecting something different as that pic looks really dull.
s2kob- i would spray it blk, or leave it..i know it looks ghetto, cant justify the extra $ for what ive got into the car.

I want to paint my s2000 fender logo's flat black to match my rims and eventually a cf hard-top. Kinda flat black like the cr logo's, how do you think this would look?
