Best Driving Roads in GTA
#11
Was tinkering with the S on the weekend and I'm getting a littler cabin fever and looking forward to driving it this Summer. Last year the wife and I took a bunch of driving roads north of Dundas in Burlington for a few spirited drives. I did this route with a few car buddies pre-Covid https://www.visitniagaracanada.com/scenic-drives/
I'm wondering what other routes you guys do with your S's.

In the Toronto area, the Old Finch/Reesor Road area is pretty nice to drive in (around Rouge River Park, near the Zoo) - it's twisty, with elevation changes and lovely scenery to boot (you'll catch glimpses of the Rouge River and even cross over it). It IS narrow though, so I'm not sure I'd recommend caning it.
Also, there is a narrow bridge (Old Finch Bailey Bridge) that is single-lane (so you will have to yield if someone is coming across from the other side).
I didn't have a chance to drive up Meadowvale toward Plug Hat Rd and Beare Rd, but the Streetview looks promising.
It's not a long drive, but if you're stuck in the GTA (where there are only boring urban/suburban straight lines) this is a nice driving snack.
Alternatively, I like to do a nice loop of the DVP starting at the Don Mills on-ramp, down to Bayview/Bloor (exit then take the Bayview South offramp). You can then immediately take the Bayview South onramp back to the DVP Northbound and do a loop back up to the Don Mills Northbound offramp (a nice curve for fun downshifting and turning), then get back onto the DVP Southbound in a continuous clockwise loop (it's basically all right turns except for the big looping left when you go from Bayview onto the DVP Northbound).
You *could* go all the way up to Lawrence (which has an on-ramp/off-ramp combo that allows you to get back onto the DVP without waiting for any lights or turning left) but traffic is usually bad up there.

Nice post! Ill add while doing the DVP loop, Rosedale valley road is nice too. Though short.

Pottery Road can feel like a (very very short) Touge, but if you're going uphill with traffic, it might not be as pleasant!
That DVP loop gives you plenty of opportunities to hit VTEC and shift at redline (especially if you're doing it during off-peak hours) - and if you get stuck behind a slowpoke, the great thing is you can just keep doing the loop till you get your fix.
