Audio installation shop recommendations in the GTA?
Been combing the forums and think I have it distilled down to the main shops in the GTA. Anybody have experiences with any of these shops (from product sales, prices, and installation)?
NumberONE Audio - Downtown Toronto
-Had my HU, Blutooth mic and Modifry DCI installed at their (ghetto) store - no complaints with installation. Selection seems abysmal and mainly limited to Alpine. Prices decent.
Ultra Auto Sound - Dundas West, just west of the 427
-Sells JL, Focals, Morels, Clifford and Kenwood
-Stopped by yesterday after being highly recommended by another forum member.
KHF Audio - Markham
-They have many products
-Haven't been
Nutek - Vaughn
-Haven't been

Hey, so I ended up going with Ultra Auto Sound and picked up the following that was on sale about a week and a half ago:
Focals P165V15
Kenwood Excelon 450/4
JL Audio 10" TW3 Sub
They also custom made a trunkwell sub enclosure that seems well constructed and in the same price range as the Zenclosures. It gets prohibitively expensive for a custom footwell sub to be built, and the member in the US who makes them doesn't ship them up to Canada. Got some sound deadening, and was told they used some thicker wires for better sound.
Just picked it up a few days ago. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the setup though admittedly I don't exactly have any reference to compare it to. Everything sounds fuller, and the sub rounds it out without being obnoxious. No rattling issues. Can't wait to try it top down on the highway. In the store, it could handle higher volumes no problem.
Already had the modifry with the SCV installed and had to reprogram it to make it less aggressive during volume increases!
