Default Ap2 tail lights on ap1

I'm well aware that there is cutting and trimming involved. My question (that I've searched but haven't found the answer) is if I cut the body to accommodate the ap2 tail lights, will I be able to reinstall my ap1 tailights in the future or will they not fit correctly anymore because of the cutting? I like the LED but I also like how the red in the ap1 tails flow very well with NFR.

Thanks

Rob

Uh oh the modding already starts.

The mounting holes are the same.
Your cutting for the housing size difference

I share your opinion, I like the Ap2 tails at night when they are lit up, but I like the look of ap1 (version 2) tails better in daytime conditions

To be honest I don't really love the Ap1 tails I just think they go very well with NFR. If the mounting hole is the same I will probably convert to ap2. I have v.1 tails and the outer red portion of the tail light faded and has almost become clear.

I definitely want to do in the future as well, the AP1 tails don't look anywhere near as good as the AP2's.

There was a recall on the tailight fading, I guess the old owner didn't do anything with them.

Correct, it's never too late for a recall. I'm still doing air bag inflater recalls on early '01-'05 Civic's.
