currently, as long as the the engines' displacement is HIGHER than that of the incumbent engine, you're good. suppose the f22c really is better than the f20c in this case

hopefully this helps and everything gets sorted out

Hmm. That's awesome! Guess the AP2 motor is the way to go then, I was thinking of getting another Emissions Test before I boosted it, and that way it'd be valid for 2-Years anyways, hahaha.

But, this works even better!

I'd call the ministry, I had a 30 min conversation with a ministry officer, anything after 1999 can not be hot Rod status period, it has to be able to communicate with the ministry computer (the web site is way out date on information) fhe obd 2 port must be functional, no ifs ands or buts.......call yourself, not eligible for hot rod if post 1999, so a stand alone is a bad idea, ap2 swap with k pro will work......

Again don't believe me call yourself. Ask to be transferred to the compliance people they will tell you exactly what they told me.

Good luck !!

With all this emissions crap I would be more inclined to keep the AP1 engine in there.

That being said my AP1 has an AP2 engine. The stock ecu will run the car no problem. As for not being able to rev the car to 9k that was the general theory a few years ago. Mine ran great to 9k and has being doing it for about 5 years now with no issues. Even at 607whp the car is still revving to 9k no issues. I have a spare AP1 engine with less than 10k on it but I've been holding on to that gem until the car sells I've already turned down many offers

Sounds Awesome- Is this a LS1 swap? Where did you get it done, how much did it cost, your impressions after the swap, cornering issues? I am sure nuff guys on here would like to see pics of that swap. Please share!

yes ls1 swap, I did it in my garage at home, 10k in parts alone, 150 hrs labour, torque is a hell of a drug haha, corners like a regular s2000
