I did the same thing, except I use a pocket PC with the garmin CFque, I'm on version 5, but the maps are wicked detailed..

oh and someone buy my Toshiba!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! make me an offer... and not a stupid one

I got Version 6, happy about that

Been playing with this all night, simulating a drive, it's pretty cool!

Ok TOO Freakin' AWESOME!

I can play MP3's through my stereo with the GPS, then when a turn or message comes up, it automatically lowers the volume on the music and boops, says the instruction (pops a big picture of what's coming up on the screen), then raises the music back up.

AWESOME!

so can you carry it in your pocket and use the GPS downtown (like Ottawa has a downtown....)

Yes you can carry it around.

I tried it today on the way to work. I got no more than 100 meters .... about 5 secs off course and it recalculated my course in about 1 sec and gave me a new route.

Also found out that my speedo in my subaru is off pretty bad. 60km/h on the speedo was reading 65 on the GPS

how is simulating a drive cool? thats a feature Ive found to be a big PITA actually.

you cant do it 3D can you? as in from the drivers seat? just from above?

Haha, ok it's kind of a PITA because it is real time, so a 30 min drive takes 30min to simulate. It was cool to see how it would navigate though, but I rather do the drive for real.
