I am running UK spec...ish. Max camber front and rear with 1/4" toe total in rear.

Not an issue.

darcy
Thanks Darcy, I think I will go with that. I was wondering if Honda's rear toe spec of .25" was total rear toe or for each side, but thanks for clearing that up. So basically 1/8th" toe-in per side.
The UK spec calls for 1/8" total toe. NA spec is 1/4" total.

Thanks for the added info Nick, I think I'll stick with 1/4" total rear toe to deal better with oversteer.

I read somewhere that the ap2 rear toe was decreased, and the CR rear toe was set closer to the ap1 spec ?
This is true. The ap2 rear subframe has a slightly different suspension geometry and experiences less bump steer than ap1..thus the less rear toe. iMO 1/4" rear toe is too much and just eats tires. Go with 3/16 " or 1/8" Total.

With the distance we will be doing, the tires will be done at 1/4" I bet
I will take that bet and win as my own experience has proven otherwise. Running rear 1/4" rear total toe has done nothing to increase my wear on my z2's I installed last year before the dragon. the tires look very good and will easily survive thru this entire year yet. I did approx. 6000 kms on those tires last year, towing a trailer for some of it, trip to the dragon, up to barrie, out to picton etc.

Dave ran a similar alignment, and in one dragon trip, burnt through an entire set of rear tires though . How did you manage that??? The z2 must be great at wearing slowly...

To add to it though, I do know Joey has a set of Bridgestone S-04's on his rear, and if they're anything like the S-02's, they burn up fast.

Yes but we drove hard that year. They were star specs II, they still lasted a trip to Washington DC and then back down to Marion the next year. They were bald when they came off which is how I will finish this year. Two dragon trips is the limit if you drive a lot.

Depends on what you wanna do with your car. Some people do, but it isn't necessary most times.

So I got my alignment done yesterday. I went with -1.25 camber front wheels, zero toe front, 6.0 caster. On the rears I went with -2 camber, 3/16 total toe in (3/32 each wheel). Ride height equal on all four corners - 643 mm ground to top of wheel well arch (approx. 25.4 inches). The car feels really good, I'm liking this setup thus far.

Where did you get your alignment done? How much did you pay if you don't mind sharing?

I need to look for a shop to do alignment for my S

That's good Joey, a proper alignment on these cars makes a world of a difference. I had messed around with my camber adjustments at home while fitting my wheels over the winter, and my car was impossible to drive to work. After my alignment everything is perfect.

My setup:

17x9 +45 w/255/40 Dunlop Z2's all around.

Front:
Caster: 6.0
Camber: -2.4
Toe: 0.00

Rear:
Camber: -2.6
Toe: 0.20 total (0.10 a side)

Fernando, what's the best setup for my AP2 with 1 inch drop. Stock AP2V1 wheels, everyday street driving?

Thanks in advance

It was just a small local shop called OK Tire, pretty much any shop with computerized 4 wheel alignment equipment can do a decent job, including Honda dealers. I paid $100.00. The important thing is to find a shop that will do a spec alignment to your specs, don't leave it up to them to decide, and have them get the settings even side to side, not just within the Honda spec. Go in there with the numbers you want it set at, and get them to do it based on your numbers.

I'd recommend my numbers for a daily driver street driven setup, it may not have been aggressive enough for the Dragon run or a track setup, but it works quite well on the street.
