Default Anyone else get caught in the storm with their S

Sup guys,

I was in Mississauga yesterday with the wife waiting in line to buy ice cream at this place on Lakeshore and Hwy 10. Line up was so long that it led outside the ice cream parlour. While waiting in line outside, i took a glance in the sky and geez was the clouds ever grey/black. At that point i knew that things weren't looking too good. I decided to Abort the ice cream idea and headed back to the S. As soon as i got in, down came the rain/hail big time. The S handled like a champ even during the heavy downpour. I finally got home and parked the thing. I was wondering if anyone else got stuck in the same situation???

I was driving home from the cottage, and was caught right in the middle of a nasty cell for close to an hour. Had to ford some crazy-deep standing water, and did plenty of hydroplaning at speeds so slow I didn't think it was possible. The lightning was super-close on all sides... a cloth top doesn't exactly give the best sense of protection! That was definitely one of the nastier storms I've been driving through. Glad I didn't see any hail, though.

What's the big deal driving in the rain storm? The car is made to be driven in the rain.

the car was, the tires weren't.

I was out in the rain on 404, no problems, but there were a lot of idiots who had hazards on and other idiots who didn't have their lights on.
