Your neighbors complain if you put your garbage out too long before the truck comes. Enough said.
What if you don't cut your lawn on time

no, value is inherent to each.

but i would say that i love the various mature uptown neighbourhoods moreso than the downtown ones.

more variety and cross-section of people and cultures (if that matters to you).

I'd much rather be further north as well.

And I dislike working on old houses.

true and very good point, but i care a bit more about my immeadiate environment. decent park space is a big one for me, i know that's something i would really enjoy if it is steps away. i can always get in the car and drive for culture.

Marta - you'd like the Beach more than Rosedale I bet.

Tons of parks - way more than Rosedale.

Nearly as convenient as Rosedale. My commute is about 5 minutes to downtown.

Way more friendly atmosphere.

Older houses with charm = you have to gut them, live somewhere else for a year and put $250k+ into the house you just bought. Hence I bought a new house.

Hey Ron - see my landscaping? Anyone know anything about underground sprinkler systems for gardens? I need one. My whole front yard is now a garden.
