Let's hope my service with Rogers is a little better.. just ordered their new 'Extreme' package, 5 Mbps down, 800 Kbps up! No more uploading at 12-14K with stupid DSL.

that's how much i was paying for regular cable... and I am getting a 128k connection hehe...

bonk, i went with bell, i didn't buy a modem because I am entitled to a free upgrade on modems when a new one comes out..

service starts on may31 for me, and that's when my cable bill is due.. perfect.

Arthur, you live in Markham though where every kid and adult male in sight probably dowloads gigs of data 24/7, day in, day out.

I live with many older folks in the hood.. hopefully my trunkline is not saturated by others.

Just got it installed.. ran a quick test on dslreports.. bam!

A 568.5 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 794375 bps, or 775 kbps

On my ftp upload I hit almost 900Kbps.. Happy Rogers customer here.. for now.

Jarek, which modem did they hook you up with ?

Both the Downtown locations are sold out of modems.

I got the Motorola one. It seems that either the Motorola or the Toshiba are good. Do not get the South Atlantic one.
