All that's changed in mine is the dampers with stock springs on the lower pirch. Changing the rebound is not as drastic as coilovers.

I think it will quickly become your next mod once you put the R compounds on. The extra grip from tires alone will be substantial, but then you will really see the deficincies in the stock suspension.

You are going to be working it a lot harder.

The only thing you can really do, with any combination of mods is experiment, and spend the time to figure out what works, and what doesn't sadly for most of us, our real jobs get in the way of finding this out. 5 track days a year ain't gonna cut it.

What we can do, is take already established guidelines of what people have learned, and apply those to our own cars.

Exactly Mike, I was within a second or 2 of Taylor at the autox s last year while on street rubber. I will probably have a learning curve with the r- compounds but hope to be within 0.5 seconds of him. It's gonna be tougher to gauge now that he has sold his S2000, but if I am competitive with the group he was up against, I think I am measuring well.

Taylor was beating Z06s on a stock car plus r-compounds. Until I can do that...I'm not messing with the suspension.

Then nothing short of a BERLINA paint job is going to help your spa...

Well all I can say is that after riding in Scott's 911, the stock S2000 is too loosely damped, especially the back end. Where his car stuck like glue on the carousel, the stock 02 S2000 bounces around pretty good. He said it was rather unsettling.

I will soon find out if the koni's set to full stiff will be good or bad. For shits and giggles i may try a few laps with them soft and post a review.

All I know is shannonville will be a totally different track moving to the S2000... Almost everything i have burned into my head for that track is basically down the crapper.
