Affa, are you getting your ass kicked?
38% of Ontario teachers report being bullied
CTV.ca News Staff
The Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation has published a survey showing that 38 per cent of all teachers are reporting being the victim of a school bully.
The survey included high school and elementary teachers and other educational workers.
For the purposes of the survey, bullying was defined as "threats of physical assault, verbal abuse, racial and sexual slurs, repeated intimidation, disrespectful behavior, vandalism of personal belongings and persistent class disruption.
Mike Bettiol, a Toronto teacher with 17 years of teaching experience, says he was victimized after confiscating skateboards in the hallway. His car was vandalized it every day for a week.
"I felt totally helpless because I couldn't prove who was doing this, yet it was happening to me every day," Bettiol recalls.
Other findings of the study:
* 82 per cent of teachers have been subject to repeated disruptions and disrespectful behaviour
* 41 per cent have had personal belongings vandalized
* 27 per cent have been physically assaulted
* 16 per cent received verbal abuse
* 11 per cent were subjected to repeated racial, sexual, religious slurs.
In most cases, the teachers who are victims of bullying are women and supply teachers. Teachers most likely to be bullied are in elementary schools, and those in rural Ontario tend to be victims more often than teachers in the big cities.
The teachers' unions in Ontario are asking that specially trained bully counsellors and even psychologists be made available for every school to deal with bullies.
Rhonda Kimberley-Young, president of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation, says the survey was done to call attention to the problem of chronic bullies in schools.
"We really are looking at this as information that will hopefully help all the partners in education come up with some preventive strategies and some strategies that will help us intervene where students are showing these behaviours on a repeated basis," Kimberley-Young said.
Man...you driving your little car, you being little with a giant ass hairdo. Damn.
You may wanna beat the **** outa one of them now and let them know who's bizoss.

Yeah man I hear ya...
You should start a poll in the teachers lounge asking how many 9 year olds does every teacher think they can take all at once.
Then convince them to all unite, act on it, beat the shit out of a herd and change the school order man.
Come on do it, I'll be glad to help. I bet I can take 50 9 year olds before I get tired.

This is what happens when the tree huggers and kid's rights jerkoffs have their way. We become a society of pu$$y whipped chicken shits cowering under legislation. The little bastards should get the crap beat out of them even for just looking the wrong way. Parents can get into trouble if they hit their kids and at the same time, must take the blame when their little tards go bad.
We should declare open season on all child psychologists and rights activists. Even better, make the brats live with them.
