Default aem v2 intake problem

hey i got v2 intake but everytimes it rains the filter gets wet is there anything out there i can put over it so it doesnt get wet

most people make up some type of cover over the filter (plastic container) .... water runs down the hood through a drain hole right onto the filter.

I dont think a little water on the filter really matters. It would be my preference not to have it however Its only when the filter gets submerged that you risk hydrolock. I drove my old SiR for many years with a AEM Cai that was always wet. Didn't have any problems.

The AEM CAI for the S2000 has a poor design.... it traps water in the intake tube.... there are quite a few people on here that have had there cars hydrolock after washing their car.

yeah, don't bother with it.

if u must do CAI, get a better one.
else, just go k&n FIPK II

I was so concerned with hydrolock I eventually took out the AEM CAI. I missed the sound but love the peace of mind.
