I sincerely hate it. Modern cars these days have lost all the charm of the their older big brothers - this new NSX is no exception. And what is with the hideous mazda knock off grill??? Half the price of a 458, maybe so but it doesn't have the charm of the 458...not by a long shot. That being said it does have some pretty sick technology wrapped up under the ugly exterior!

My 2 cents
It better have a manual transmission.
If all it has is automatic, it better be faster than a GTR if its similar price.
Having driven a few "paddle shift" automatics (Porsche 991s, 360, GTR, R8, McLaren MP4-12c) they are boring and less connected compared to a manual car.
The minute Porsche took away the option to get manual in the turbo 911, I don't get why someone wouldn't buy a GTR for half the money and its faster.
Also its made in USA, I don't get that

Eric, Cars of this level do not come in manual anymore. Honda has made it clear it will not be a manual. And why should it? All new supercars aren't manual any longer...it's just how the world is today. these new dual clutch systems will crush face with their lighting quick shifts.
All cars have their own character and I'm sure this nsx will have its own charm. And to say the R8, C12, 991s, GTRs etc are boring is a bold statement. Have you driven these cars on the edge? Come on man... Borning? If real man don't drive automatics then I assume real man don't buy great cars?
And being a USA supercar shouldn't be much of concern.... Just read this man.

Eric has thrown down the gauntlet and has declared war on all modern supercars!
Seriously, you've driven a 12C and declare it boring? Really? Got any pics? Lmao.
As much as I loved my NSX and my current AP1' there's no way I would ever dare say they are more exciting than my R35. Sorry man, no way. On the track, driven at the limit, the dsg has no peer. Porsche used the same argument as you and now their pure GT3 comes with PDK standard as well. It's the evolution of the species. I hear real men drive F1 cars.

Maybe boring is the wrong statement, less exciting/fun/connected would be better to say.
A car that does 0-60 in less than 4-5 seconds, handles great etc etc isn't "boring" I guess.
One way I would say it is sex with a condom is great, but sex without a condom is much better.
I only drove a PDK 997 GTS & Cayman S on track (Calabogie) the others were on street or 401/407.
The best comparison I had was driving a R8 in manual and automatic back to back - absolutely more fun and exciting (in my opinion) to drive the manual.
That being said - I understand the advantages of automatic - faster shifts, better on gas, etc.
But unless you are racing in a series and every millisecond counts, and money on the line etc (F1 etc), my opinion is manual is more fun and enjoyable to drive and given the choice between manual and auto I would choose manual.
To me (my opinion again) I love when I do a lap, or even a section on a race track prefect in a manual - get the gear shifts and everything right.
Yes, its an unfortunate truth, the new GT3 will only be PDK, and it would likely be a reason for me not to buy one. If you look at the 997 GT3's, they have gone up in price since they announced the 991 GT3 would only be automatic, some people won't buy automatics. I'm sure an aftermarket tuner will make some money converting 991 GT3's to manual, I would assume wouldn't be crazy hard since the regular 991's have manual so likely can be done.
Oyagi - if you are offering next time I see you at a track to prove me wrong and let me have a go with your R35, I will accept that!!
Cheers
