You can usually tell when people are really upset on the forums, it can be tricky though. I don't sense these guys geting really upset, just throwing around some points.
Talking about JCW Minis and 500 Abarths, I'm hoping my EP3 with a K20R will be faster than both when its done. Cheaper too. />/>/>/>
I drove the Fiat with my wife, only the regular one. I hated it. It was 5 speed. Euro cute good looks and decent space for a small car but thats it. I'm not one of these typical North American guys who think small cars are for girls and real men drive trucks or any other crap, but I tell you for the on the road price of a 500 (our on the road price was almost $24,000!!!) it's just not worth it. Maybe if we actually paid the real price which is 11,300 pounds ($17,900) on the road for the same model.....

maybe it was different back then? the base model vehicle startes at 13 ... and if you want to add alloys, air conditioning etc its still under 20? I think they were trying to pull your pants down LOL. Either way i test drove the reg fiat 500 sport and its a freakin dog. Would not buy it ever. The abarth on the other hand is the most fun car i have ever driven.

lol i have no reason to lie ... i speak the truth. Watch reviews on the car and you will get the same thing. Yet again i never really drove my s2000 at the limits. So all i can compare is little street driving and whipping around.

Outside of North America the Fiat 500 has a cult following, it has a much longer history than the S2000. I think it is a cool car despite some shortcomings, I'd be okay with one as a second vehicle. The small engine is a key characteristic of the vehicle based on past sales around the world, not as well respected in North America.
