Is this a characteristic of yours only, or have you experienced this in other ML500s?

Marco, what's the MDX auto tranny?

For the record The Big Red Beast is a 5-speed manual shift automatic
MDX is 5-speed auto with manual shifting, i presume, since most cars nowadays have that feature.

ML is the same...auto with manual shifting.

and from what i recall, the truck we drove on our test drive, behaved this way as well.

my brother-in-law's older ML (non-DBW) does not behave this way.

Sounds like MB just did not get the DBW on the ML right.

I have to tell ya, I love the DBW in the Titan. It is the smoothest thing, and I can tell it is adaptive, it is sort of erie, like the truck knows what I'm thinking, be it creep or haul ass.

engineer 1 says: "hey dude, did you factor in the extra weight for this car in the program?".

Engineer 2 says: oh shit, no i didn't. You think they'll notice?"...

engineer 1: nawhhhh

could it be gearing?

the ML is a 7-speed auto.
Why would that car need a 7 speed auto...that is the funniest thing I have ever heard!

Overall package, the new Civic is quite good, but I'm not too impressed with its short and stubby front...looks like it was designed by the same people who designed that aweful looking Toyota Matrix.
