I personally dont like the DBW as throttle responce is not as quick as a direct cable. I noticed this while driving the new Si. I hope programming is better on the S2k.
I agree it is all about the programming, I do not agree about making such a huge blanket statement about DBW being slow/bad.

I have driven some BMWs with DBW and I did not think they were slow. And I have DBW on the Titan and I like it very much, because not only is it adaptive to my changing driving style, it has the ability to blip the throttle so when I downshift the automatic tranny I get a smooth downshift not an abrupt one, something a cable could never do.

Like I have told ya before, 2002 and 2003 are the best models out there, and you should consider youself very fortunate to have one, well other than that shit color you got stuck with.

I have yet to see it in person, but those who have say it ain't no Monte Carlo Blue, which makes me really wonder about Honda. There can be no way they read this forum because if they did they would know North America has a huge desire for Monte Carlo Blue S2000s...

But I do agree, that blue is looking better and better...

You got one out of two right.

Now if you would have said that BLACK is the fastest colour you would have been 100%!

it's all about weight....

DBW is electroinc...so it's on or off.

the jerkiness that most complain about is due to the fact that when it's "on", the electronics can't really differentiate between a 3000 pound car or 4000 pound truck (our ML has it)....it has to try and move 4000 pounds...and it's not smooth.

i drove a lighter weight SLK55, and it was brilliant....programming? to a degree. but physics plays more of a role than the programming.
