There you have it. The last one, I think kinda disappeared off this forum right after the crash. I think he was the one who had just crashed it and got it fixed only a couple of weeks before the drive.

i think he got his engine fixed... toasted the engine because of oil leak...

That's him. I recall he was a nice enough a fellow, but since when does being a "nice" guy make for a good driver?

He was a good guy, going about learning the car in the right way (autox, driving school's etc.) He simply pushed the car beyond his limits.

He just didn't know his limits. And had no clue how to "feel" the car.

A bad combo for this car that's for sure.

You know you guys talk about this like its a joke, and I know we are all jokers here in the TO board but maybe this is a topic that should be looked at with a little more seriousness. If you don't agree, I suggest you read the new Home page posting.

I know that my car performs beyond my abilities and I have to remember to respect it. I also believe that no matter how much experience and training you have if your driving at the limits of your vehicle anything can happen.
