Question 2001 Yellow and 2001 Silverstone/black

Hey guys,

So as you can see from this post and my other one, I'm about to buy a (used) s2k

i'm looking at two in particular... one is the yellow one I posted in the other thread (prob. too good to be true) and the other is a 2001 silverstone/black interior

My question (and the reason why I started another thread) is:
Has anyone heard of any 2001 yellow/black or silverstone/black in any accidents over the past year?

I know it's a VERY general question, but the s2k community seems to be very tight knit... and given that the car is very rare, i figured some of you may have heard something. If you've heard anything, no matter how remote... please let me know! I could be buying as soon as this weekend.

Thanks in advance!

(p.s. any tips on what to look out for when examining an '01 used s2k?)

btw the silverstone is selling for 29, whereas the yellow is selling 24

and based on speculation on the other thread, the yellow might very well have been a wrecked/repaired car... from the price, and the fact that the dealer even said it's been in an accident, it seems to be the case

silverstone one on the other hand came up clean on carfax... does that prove it's never been wrecked?

if it came out clean on report doesnt mean its never been into an accident, just mean an accident hasnt been reported... check for tape lines VIN stickers on all panels..... and small dust partcles under paint to see if any paint work was done.

Hope this helps....

Also check the hood, front/rear bumper, trunk and see if there're any rediculous uneven gaps...

all the SPA's that I've known have been involved in accidents unfortunately. I've even posted about a few of them. I have been saying and will continue to say, the only safe 'yellows' appear to be '04's
