TAKE IT TO COURT
you will most likely get off, the charge is serious enough to justify paying a paralegal
they wont raise the ticket back up to the original offence (in your case 67 over) and if they were to try you could request an adjournemt based on the fact that you prepared your defence for 49 over, not 67 over...

That's BS, he's pretty much bribing you because he doesn't want to waste his time and loose in court. Very unprofessional if you ask me. If he's gonna be nice enough to drop it he should stick to it.
Go to ex-copper or points or whatever and pay their fee and the fine and you'll get off with no demerit points. If you go to court and lose, and you likely will, you'll pay the full 67 over fine which will be 4 digits minimum. When he told you not to go to court he was doing you a favor. You get convicted over 50 and you're in for a world of hurt.

Cops get paid extra for court, it's like getting a bonus. He doesn't even care if you win or not, he gets paid the same. You really think it's an imposition?

Get pointts or one of the other places to try and get the points lowered. they know how not to get the ticket raised back up to the original speed/fine. But you still pay the 4-6 hundred to them even if they dont do anything to drop the ticket.

lol that didn't take long huh? sucks to hear, but not sure why you're doing such a top speed run when you KNOW this rule is in effect. anyways, good luck.
call Henry at Redline, 416-CHARGED is the number i think.
or check www.charged.ca or something
they're good.

I would have to agree that the cop did you a favour and you got off lucky (assuming you really did hit that speed) so learn from this experience and don't press your luck. At 167 kph, that's pretty careless and irresponsible driving imo.
