Dont go for the 2001 Civics
I cant emphasize how bad that Model year is/was. 2000 Model is your best bet.
Its the last model year of the 6th gen cycle. All the bugs are ironed out of it. Its bullitproof...

Phil, it's gonna be the 3rd car in my family. If it was just for myself, I'd definately get a shietbox that runs great and only will be driven through winter.
But my mom and sister have decided that they'd want to drive it sometime too, especially my sister in the summer time. So we're looking for something reliable that can be driven through-out the whole year. Most important is the car has to be comfortable, quite modern, auto and 4dr. Price can go a bit out of the budget IE $15,000~20,000 with tax in.
Just got back from the dealership and all the Civics there, they want atleast $13,000 w/o tax. And that's for a 2001 4dr Civic DX with only 23k km. We're trying to look for more of others at the same time in comparison to that one since it's in no hurry.
So far we've looked at Toyotas, Hondas, which I myself consider as better reliable cars since I don't really like domestics...and the price tags for them aren't bad at all, parts are cheap too. Any hook-ups would be great, I'd prefer a private sale...let me know if you know any or see any decent ones on sale.
