vafc owners
Just wondering, how has the vafc worked for you. Ive heard mixed reviews about the vafc advising that you need to reset your ecu every week for it to work properly. I also heard if you set the vafc for full throttle only, that you dont need to reset it all the time. Does anybody have one installed on the car. Can you give me your opinions on it. Thanks

Correct, the general belief is that full throttle tuning will not be effected by the ECU, however partial throttle tuning will be compensated for by the ECU after a while.
There is an opinion that you can run without the backup fuse for the ECU and it will force it to use the default maps everytime the car is started. I think it is different in the 06's and up, but might work for you. I believe Coral Doc locally has talked about it before, might want to see about talking to him or doing some search on the boards. If memory serves, it is fuse 25? Something like that. Its labeled backup in your fusebox, so its not rocket science to find.

oh i know how to cleare the ecu from the fuse box. I read it on some post and it works fine. I just dont want to be having to do this every week to get the performance out of the car. Doing a dyno, do you think i would be able to tune this myself if the dyno has an air/fuel ratio.
