he needs to consider tire wear as well.. something with some compromise..

neovas are great, but their treadlife i thought was on par with a048s and whatnot...

Oscar,

If you are getting 10k miles out of the RE050 then you probably want to go get your alignment checked !!

I got 29k out of the RE050s, 14k out of the Advan Neovas and now on a set of RE01s @3k miles and they look like new. I am liking the RE01s more than the neovas. Also my alignment is quite agressive with 3+ camber out back.

BTW, do you work in the Newport Ctr ... I recognize it from the picture.

Make sure you get the III's they are the good ones. The II's and I's are crapl. I love mine, I ran Wake the dragon on them and I have run about 15 autoX's on them with about 7000 miles and they still look new. I also run a very agressive camber and they are wearing evenly. PLUS they are CHEAP. I think it cost me $425 for all 4 shipped from tirerack, in 225 255
i have those on my enkei's... AMAZINGLY good tire for the money. i think i paid something like $400 for the set. they handle as well as my oem RE050's IMO. if you want a better tire though i'd go with something like an azenis or the dunlop direzza sport star spec or whatever. drove my friend's si on those and they're grippy as ****.
