Glad you had your Seat Locks on!

I just received a PM today from an owner in Orlando who got his seats stolen. (It's not getting any better...)

Honda dealers in FL should warn all S2000 buyers about the situation, but of course, they wouldn't.

You know when its gonna stop? When an innocent S2000 owners come across the thieve and puts a few bullets on his ass then they report it on the news and sadly the guy will spend his life in jail but the fockers will dramatically slow down with this bullshit.

Dealer service deparments MAYBE . . . but even that is a stretch. They won't offer them in the dealership though when selling the car b/c thy don't want to take the remote chance that the buyer backs down b/c of something like that.

Hopefully things work out with the shop, if they don't cooperate just post up the name and let us try to help. WE (being the local s2k community) are the business they stand to lose if they don't do whats right.

Ok after a long stressfull day of arguing with the collision repair shop they decided they will pay for the top of the car, and they will not charge me a storage fee for the car being there and taken out, that alone was $450. The scratch will have to be fixed by the other bodyshop where i took my car this afternoon. I had to speak to the owner in order for this to be resolved, everybody else just wanted to keep their hands clean. He said he would rather spend the money for the top than to take this to court. At the end of the day the owner was very helpful so i dont think it will be right for me to put their name out there.
Thanks to anybody who offered some advice...

I'd be rather careful before pulling the Lawyer card. Most of these companies already have a good lawyer and the second you threaten to take them to court any chance that they will work with you is out the door.

My company has done work for Diaz Towing out of Miami. They have a contract with City of Miami to impound cars etc. They have a policy that if the costumer comes to retrieve their car and there is any damage or items missing that once they threaten legal action they are treated as a hostile customer and will not longer work with you to solve the problem and refer all issues to their lawyer.
