SouthEastern Super Meet June 10 - 12
I know this would be a hell of a drive for some of you, but I wanted to make sure you all knew about the SouthEastern Super Meet this year. We have been working hard to make it a great event, and I know the Florida groups are very active. So hopefully with this much notice, some of yall can make it up! The offical thread is here: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=260410. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.
And if you wouldn't mind sticking this thread, then that would be great!! Thanks.

I just did this on Mapquest & came up with the trip (from downtown Ft. Lauderdale) to Huntsville as being 840 miles and taking 14 hours.
FYI - the trip to the Dragon (for me) was about 880 miles and took less time than that (even w/ all the traffic that we ran into near Atlanta).

Kim, it's hard because the long part isn't driving up Florida it's the part when you go through the panhandle on I-10 where there are a LOT of FHP's just waiting for you.
I dunno if i am going to be able to do it.. but sounds tempting since I can make a swing through Panama City to visit my brother Again still too far away to decide if i am going to do it.. heck still too far away to even know if i will still be owning an S.
Only time can tell...

Pardon my Florida ignorance!! When you said Ft. Lauderdale, my mind instantly thought of Destin and Ft. Walton. Yeah, that is a nice drive. But if you come like you were going to the dragon, you exit just north of Atlanta, and take some nice roads here.

Orlando's about 2 hours north of Ft. Lauderdale.
It takes me closer to 3.5 hours to get to Orlando from my house. I don't drive at warp speed like some, but I do move along at ~10 over.

Heck I just did this weekend from Miami to Orlando in 3 Hours at about 80/85 MPH. I Know Miami to Panama City is about 10 Hours away. How far is it from Atlanta? Because if from Miami to Warner Robins,GA is 8 hours, and Warner Robins to Atlanta is about 1 hour or 1.5 hours.. that's already 9 or 9.5 hours....

Where do you get 2 hours to Orlando from Lauderdale. That is an average speed of 85 mph with no stops. Damn that's fast! Also with no police interaction.
