Default Sluggish VTEC

So I have 1770 Miles on My 07 ... Today I'm driving on the freeway and I decide to punch it a little bit. I did not feel my VTEC kick in. I stopped and took off and noticed that it did not pull on first gear either, second was almost the same, Third was ok, and fourth did not feel the VTEC either. You would be able to feel the VTEC on my 06. Also, after I hit the 10,000 mark on the 06 the car got faster.. Is there any reason why this is happening or do I have to wait till that mile mark... please help.

Izzy

Not really, it sounds like its just cruising through the RPM's. I don't feel that violent kick, like I used to feel in the 06. I probably only felt it once.

VTEC sometimes won't engage if the car is low on oil and/or oil pressure. Hope that's not the case though, because then you might have much bigger problems...

1st question... was the car fully warmed up? as in all 3 bars?

in addition to oil pressure... vtec won't engage unless the engine/coolant is up to operating temps

Well, if it weren't fully warmed up he would be asking why he's experiencing fuel cut off. Honestly, it may just be the weather getting warmer and your car not feeling as fast because of the heat. I recommend asking in the under the hood section of the forum.

Thanks for your responses... But yeah my car was fully warmed up. I had been on the road for more than an hour. Why should the oil be low, if the car has barely 1800 miles... I will check the oil, but i do think is a little weird. Thanks for the response.

I don't know. Why should VTEC not engage, if the car has barely 1800 miles?
