All I can say is he scared the sh*t out of my and I was on the sidelines. 125 in the straights. He certainly knows how to control a car.
Personally, I think he did great!!! He had a mishap with another car in lap 2 that ran him off the track and put him a lap down, but he perservired and passed "AT LEAST" 3 cars before the end of the race. He passed them in the middle of turns, no less!!!
Great job, Alex!!!! See you at Indy in 5 years!!!

Qualified 4th, started 5th (someone got moved into our race). In the first turn some bozo tried to go from 8th to 4th and punted us both off into the grass at 80+mph. I managed to collect the car and began to work my way up in the field from last (11th).
Front tires on the car were destroyed so I fought understeer for 17 laps and ended up 6th. Managed to score a few points so it wasn't a total loss, hopefully Laguna this weekend turns out better.

Well, could have been worse; he could've put you into the wall or something.

ouch, that bites... was it in that mild chicane in the straight, or down at the never-ending left hander (which I hate, I have a bad propensity for early apexs at that corner)?

According to the instructors, I should have run that car into the wall. The only thing with less grip than the asphalt at Moroso is the grass and going through it at 85mph with some bozo on your left doing the same is no fun.
Eariler that day in qualifying, the same guy flipped his car at the track out of turn 2a (big curb). He flew onto the tire wall which flipped him and damaged another car. My only consolation is that he has to pay for both of those cars and marks will definetely be made on his account at Skip Barber based on those 2 incidents.
