This was the final phase of my schooling with Skip Barber and I've been cleared to start in the Southern Regional Race Series with them in November. The season consists of 7 race weekends (2 races per weekend for a total of 14 races) from Nov 2005-April 2006.

While I fully intend to compete later this year, I'm currently searching for sponsors that are required to make this happen. The cost of racing with Skip Barber is significantly less than other entry level open wheel series', but still out of the range of self financing for a working college student.

If anyone has any leads or interest in sponsoring my racing efforts please contact me through PM, email Fyrestrike@comcast.net, or by phone (PM me for that).

Good stuff Alex.

As for sponsors, I have some business contacts, I'll call them up to see if they are interested in sponsoring a young, kick ass race driver.

Just remember us little peons when you're rich and famous.

Sweet.

I'm still kicking myself in the a$$... last year I used 180K AMEX points on a telescope. Skip Barber just started participating in the AMEX points program. I'm now 178K points short of the 3-day racing school. Gonna take 2yrs to get back to that level at 1pt/dollar. Unless anybody wants to donate points to the jvils SB School Charity Fund...

Seriously dude, that must been awsome. Daytona is very restrictive about who gets to run there. SB is one of the few ways to get on that track. Hauling butt 'round that banking musta been sweet. Don't they teach passing techniques in the adv school? didn't see any pics of that.

Absolutely, drafting and passing is pretty much the point of the Advanced school. Unfortunately my camerawoman (Kimberly) was only there Monday and all of the passing and free lapping was done on Tuesday.
