SCCA Autocross 2/12
The SCCA is starting a solo program in South Florida again. The first event of the year for the SCCA will be on Saturday the 12th of February. These events will be run by local autocrossers that race at a national level so you can expect a higher level of professionalism. So no yelling at participants and smooth running events.
The first event will be at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise. The cost for SCCA members is $35 and $40 for non-members. Online registration is preferred so they can get a good head count. Register at this site: http://events.r20.constantcontact.com/regi...3&llr=5pgbvycab
I won't able to make the event but if any one has any questions, let me know and I will answer them. Hopefully it will have a good turn out so they can continue with more events in the future.

What is the main difference btwn this and running with Equipe? National ranking? Looks like another option to autox at. I ran once at Band Atlantic but with Porsche Club America definitely interesting as there is change in elevation in that parking lot.

The difference with ER is they have been getting rude to the people going to their events and have poor course design. At the last 3 ER events I've seen 4 cars crash with damage. They are planning on safer courses that more reflect the type of designs you would see at a SCCA national tour or national championship.
The BAC is certainly different because of the elevation changes but I've never seen or experienced a car bottom out there. I think I know which crest your talking about though. There will be other locations they use but this is the only one that could do an event this early in the year for scheduling reasons.
