Police Speed Traps and Camera Enforced Tickets
Intersection of US1 & Sunset
Last weeks Herald had an article that confirms that S. Miami just installed
a new machine in the intersection of Sunset and US1... where if you run the
red light (or as we do in Miami - end up maybe going on the yellow never the
red besides that eight other cars are behind you ;o))... the little white light gets
your picture etc. and you will be notified by mail that you have a ticket for running
the red light.
NYC has these lovely little machines for years and they are no joke.
Out of the blue you get this lovely ticket.
The ticket is 4 points like the stop sign ticket. Just wanted to warn you
all. No ticket clinic either!
Also, I know we've said this a few times but there's been an increase in speed traps in Doral...

YES!!!!! THANK GOD, i've been waiting for something like this. since all the ****in cops in miami suck balls and don't do shit. but they loveeee giving inocent people like me speeding tickets!

I don't think those lights actually take the pictures. I think they're just there for reference, so when the light turns red, a nearby officer can see from a distance if you took the light.

I know the cameras in NYC...
the tickets they sent you in the mail, was pretty easy to fight.
all you had to say was it wasn't me driving.
I haven't driven that car in weeks.
unless they have picts of you driving the car at the time of the offense they have no proof it was you and cant revoke 4 points on your license.

I was in Orlando and these are every where. I asked a cop while eating and he said that the little white goes off when the light is run to be used as a reference in court to make sure don't get a ticket for going through a yellow.
