Default Need recommendations for tire brands...

I ordered a new set of wheels for the S2K. They are 18x8 in the front and 18x9 in the rear. I think I've settled on the size: 225/40/18 for the front and 255/35/18 for the rear.

I've been calling a few places and getting different opinions on tires. I was going to go with the BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW NT, which are at the price that I'm looking for ($732). I have the BF Goodrich g-Force sports on my stock wheels now and they are pretty good. I called Discount Tire Direct and he recommended the Falken FK452s. The price is even better ($590) and from the reviews I've been reading, these tires are supposed to be awesome. I was set at these tires and was looking for someone to install them, so I called Good Roads (off of Commercial Blvd). The guy recommended some Nexen tires. I always thought these were cheap quality tires, but he was telling me otherwise. Price wise, they are really cheap ($406). Now I've been reading reviews on these tires and they seem pretty good, better than I thought.

Pretty much, the guy told me that if I don't like them, he will give me a full refund towards the Falken tires. What do you guys think??

I could mention plenty of better tires, but what I got from ur post was a decent tire for decent price. Whats the max u want to pay per tire???? Also more performance tire will wear out quicker and stick way better. Example Falken Azenis are great with grip, autocross, drag but when it rains they feel like ice skate on the road. Many evo guys with over 350whp-450whp are using Kumhos MX tires they are like $130 each for 255/40/17, so it will be a bit more for what you are looking for. They stick pretty good compare to the Azenis but are way better in the rain.

What are u looking for??? Performance??? Daily and long lasting??? a lil bit of both????

I'm looking for tires that will grip very nicely, not too loud, and handle well in the rain. I'm not asking for cheap tires, I was offered these. I was willing to pay up to $7** for tires alone, not including installation. Also, if you could recommend a shop that can install them as well, opposed to just selling them.

I called that number, they gave me another number to reach him at though. I told him what I was looking for and what I'm looking to pay and he is going to look into it and call me back. Thanks for the help!
