My top got slashed!
The honeymoon is over. Three months into ownership and my turn came. At least they didn't get past the top thanks (I'm guessing) to the alarm. All the interior is still intact.
For those of you keeping count, AFAIK this is the first S2K with agood aftermarket alarm that gets targeted for the seats. But the seats are still there, so I guess it did its job to a point.
What really pisses me off is that I had a spooky feeling that this was going to happen. I woke up at 2:30 AM for no reason and went outside and stared at my S2K... and stared.... and stared.... and there was this eerie silence and I just knew something wasn't right. I just stood there in a trance. I probably looked like a nutcase. I then tried to go back to sleep but just tossed and turned for a couple of hours. Then around 5:00 AM I woke up again and thought about getting up but didn't, until 6:00 AM when I woke up to my blarring alarm.
So yes, I had a chance to catch an S2000 thief in the act. It's probably better that I didn't - it wouldn't have ended pretty. There would've been blood spilled. Maybe mine, maybe theirs, but it would've been ugly.
Anyone has a spare hardtop or softop laying around?

Sorry to hear that. What type of alarm did you have? Did it have the proximity sensor, I was wondering if it did I thought this would deter them before they started with any cutting.

man... so sorry to read about this!!! this is truly a sad sight... but on the other hand you do keep your interior intact... and now you can get a ragtop with a glass back... good luck with getting this resolved...
