I guess it depends on your price range. There's an apartment complex right near Omni off Biscayne which is really nice. I think rent was approx. $1200. I can't remember the name, but it's the really skinny building right off the Venetian Causeway. There's a lot of places to rent in/near downtown. You should also consider the Rhodes area.

Brickell?? I don't know. Droptopgirl needs to chime in...she knows the area pretty good, and I believe she works in downtown.
If your visiting, post here. Its a good group, we can all meet up for dinner and drinks...show you around.

c_me_go, glad to see your moving over here.
I wouldn't recommend underground parking... ESPECIALLY close to Brickell.
A lot of these underground parkings suffered BIG TIME Flooding during the hurricanes. It's just not a good idea. Keep that in mind!

I will keep that in mind.. but If i know a hurricane is comming I would take my car to the Airport and park it in the High level parking.. but would feel better with under ground parking for saftey

A few areas with apartments/condos with garage parking... Doral, all through Downtown (Brickell and Biscayne), South Beach, Miami River area, Coconut Groove, Coral Gables and directly across from Dadeland Mall in Kendall.
