Miami GranPrix is the End of Season Race in Oct
This year IRL changed things up a bit. Traditionally the season opens in Miami and the following week it moves to St. Pete.
This year the season opened in St. Pete and the end of season Championship race will be in Homestead.
Last weekend in St. Pete, they had another spectacular event.
St Pete Granprix thread
I have been fortunate to have participated in the St Pete Race twice.
I am in communication with IRL and I am working with them (with the help of some of the St. Pete guys, and Dario for guidance) to help put together the S2k participation for the Championship Race at the end of the season.
There are a few things to know upfront about this event
1. The St Pete GranPrix is a Honda sponsored event. Homestead is not.
Therefore the events will not have the same levels of participation.
2. IRL is committed to increasing participation for the Homestead event and is working closely with the Homestead track.
I would love to see our community get behind this race.
There will be decals and tickets. Beyond that is all in negotiation, and I will keep everyone posted on the progress.
Let's keep this thread positive and look forward to October's festivities.
thanks
Mitch
