Default Mechanic schools in miami

Hey, well let me tell you a little about me. Im 19 years old and i like cars and motorcycles or speed to be exact. So far i felt like i wasted a year by putting school 2nd and party 1st. After alot of thinking i decided to become a mechanic, a highly paid one with a lot of certificates ofcourse. Now im looking for a school so i can start with the programs, anyone know a good school in miami?. My friend attended ATI and told me not to waste my time cause he didnt learn anything =/. I was reading(from previous threads) about interships at dealers, can someone tell me how that goes? do i speak with a mechanic at the dealer?. Oh this might also help i dont know alot about cars maybe cause i never owned one, have had alot of bikes and my recent one got stolen . Im just tired of going from job to job.

Thank you.

The schools only teach you the basics. I've been a diesel tech for 14 yrs and the most training you'll get is at a dealership. Go to school and learn the basics and get your ASE cert. Now for making big money here in miami being a mechanic is not that good because of too many shade tree mechs that mess it up for liesenced techs. There is a large demand for mechanics all over the country so you will always have plenty of options. Good luck

If you want to go Honda Robert Morgan Educational Center offers the Honda pact; they will train you to work at any Honda dealership and also heavy equipment diesel Mechanic. If you want to go Toyota Miami lakes Educational Center offers similar training for Toyota. Good luck

Sheridan Technical Center in Hollywood has an automotive program there. Give them a call 754-321-5400.

Edit - those courses can lead to ASE certification.

I can have one of the instructors call you if you want to PM me your name & number.
