Just purchased a VAFC for my 00
Hey guys,
Anyone know of a place that can actually tune a vafc for WOT without costing over 150. I was thinking about adjusting it myself with a dyno which has a wideband to make sure its not running to lean on top after adjustment but wanted to see other options.
I purchased the frog harness with the vafc and it should be coming in by this Friday.
My mods are k&n fipk and test pipe. Has anyone locally tuned their own vafc for their car?
I would just hate to pay 150 plus dyno time to a tuner which is only adjusting the WOT of the vafc when I've heard its pretty easy to adjust yourself.
Any info appreciated,
Thanks

If you have a Data Logger like a Z-Tec or similar WOT tunning is easy. To tune it properly (which is questionable with a AFC) if needs to e on a Dyno in a controlled enviroment. If the dyno has a load function even better.

I just called JDM and their price was 150. I advised him that I didnt want the partial throttle setting adjusted which should take off half the time you would normally take adjusting a vafc but they said its the same price..
Any other locations one might recommend. I was going to call fyne tune since My friend with an evo has done some work there to get a price check..

Called fyne tune, they charge 150 plus a dyno. But they said they would work with me regarding the tuning since it's only WOT.
Why is it so expensive to tun a vafc if its only WOT. From what i read and from what fyne tune advised me, it takes around 30minutes to 1hr to tune.
