Well its rumored that IRL won't be returning next year to Homestead Miami Speedway at all, due to low attendance, and a city that doesn't care about the race.

 

They need to bring it back to downtown for a road race.

 

Wow. Well, IMO IRL oval racing is kind of boring anyways... but I have A.D.D..... so ........ umm. .. what were we talking about......

 

It sucks anyway!!! We need F1!!!

I went the last time it was in Downtown Miami. I loved it. They should re-do that. But it's doubtful.

Unfortunately as much as people moan and groan about how boring NASCAR is... it's by far a much better (and way more fun) experience to attend the Race in Homestead compared to the IRL one. Plus the draw of it being the "Final" race gets a big draw, meaning sell outs. Unless IRL can come up with a gimick like that.. they aren't going to get good ticket sales. Only thing they have is that Homestead is the Season opener.

If my memory serves me correct it was a CART race downtown and it was a good one.... but unfortunately didn't draw that well either.

I googled "nascar fan" here is the first result.

 

They better find a better part of downtown. They shortened the track from 2002 to 2003. The layout sucks ass, the surface is horrible, no grip, and lets not forget the bump that causes cars to FLY. Lets not forget they scheduled the race the same weekend as the F1 USGP, where fans we're either at Indy, or stayed home on Sunday to see F1 over Champcar.

Homestead use to be awesome before they resurfaced it for Nascar.

its because watching cars go roundy round is really boring espically at 220. The Grand Am race was way better
