Highway Story
Heading north on I-95 just north of Ft Lauderdale. I'm in the middle lane and the there's a flatbed tow truck with a black C6 Z06 on the back. I remember thinking, "that's odd, I wonder why it's on there backwards?". What I mean is that I was behind it, looking that the headlights.
Anyway, the next think I know the entire hood disconnects from the body of the car and is now a projectile. Luckily, no one hit the thing and it slid off to the side of the road by the median. No injuries, no problems.
Wonder what the look on the person's face was when the car was delivered. "Um yeah, where's the hood?" Moral of the story, don't tow your Z06 backwards going more than 55 mph.

ive heard of similar stories from some of my customers where they are transporting vette's on car carriers, where the car is facing backwards and the force of the wind actually makes the hatch of the car lift up and detach its self causing major damage 2 the cars roof.. makes you wonder how much thought in design and safety is really put into these cars...........but then again when do you really go 85MPH in reverse.

I must say though, it did act as a sail for almost an entire second. Must say something about the structural integrity....right? Maybe I'm just looking for an upside considering how much I love that car.
