Help a fellow S2K driver
Hey guys,
I've been trying to figure out how to get on track at Moroso for ever. Not the 1/4 mile, but the actual road course. Ive been to all the sites but really cannot tell what class my car is or anything(MY01). I would really like to tag along with some one or maybe a group and see what its all about. I am basically clueless. So if someone can give me any information it would be nice, instead of "click this link"
THanks,
Mike

i don't think they autocross at Morosso. they do have track events. morosso is a very unforgiving track, I would suggest a different track fr our first experience. If you are looking for an autocross, I recomend the Porsche club events. they are very well run, you get 6-8 runs, and they have a class in the morning for new drivers and may even get a diver in the car with you on the runs. runs about 50.00, the track events are 300-400

For south Florida track events at Homestead, Sebring and Moroso: Chin Motorsports
For Southeast autocrossing: Equipe Rapide Sports Car CLub. The next event is in a week (Sunday, 29 Jan) on the Homestead Motor Speedway parking lot. Also Porsche Club of America will hold an autocross at Bank Atlantic Center on Sunday 5 February.
For Southwest Florida autocrossing: Gulf Coast Autocrossers Thier next event is on Saturday and Sunday, 11 & 12 February
There are plenty of opportunities coming up - hope to see you there.

Moroso was my first track event with Chin Motorsports. The road course is supposed to be technically difficult, and I guess it was but I have nothing to gauge it against. It was a great experience and I enjoyed the hell out of it, primarily because of the instructor I had and some pointers (and air ) from CoralDoc. IF you do Moroso, I'd suggest work on being smooth and learning the line and by EOD you'll be going faster - and have a lot of fun. FYI - I d F**up and lost the rear on the lower right hand turn in this picture. The next event Chin has is at Sebring (sold out) and then Homestead in March.

Chin Motorsports by far is one of the better clubs with up to 5 hours of track time you cant go wrong.Im actually goin up to Sebring on the 28 of Jan to instruct for them.Im taking my Rx-7 2nd gen. ITS SCCA Car,moroso is an ok track very hard on tires and not alot of room for mistakes,I have seen alot of bad crashes at moroso over before the put in that kink on the back straight.but other than that its close to home so its easier for someone that doesnt want to travel very far.
