Default Ft. Laud. hotel needed, relatively inexpensive

A good friend of mine will be visiting for a few days in mid February. Does anyone have any suggestion for relatively inexpensive hotels in the Fort Lauderdale area (the closer to Coral Springs, the better)? No fleabag places, please... he'll be coming to my place at least once and I don't want any critters trading living spaces I think something along the lines of a Holiday Inn is what he'd be looking for.

La Quinta 3701 university dr

I used to have my office there. Not bad rates but that is prime season.

Geeze Dan you ask a lot... Cheap but nice... Come on.

The Holiday Inn at the Turnpike on Glades Rd is decent, not to pricey... There is also a dearth of hotels on US1 in Ft. Lauderdale.

But what Richie said is true... High season... Prices will be up there...

As I said, Keith... relatively inexpensive, not "cheap". I'm sure the Holiday Innn or La Quinta will do fine for him.

Thanks, guys!

You will need to be doused after you leave Dan's also.
