FS: Vortech SC Kit - SOLD
Well kids, I've been presented with the proverbial "offer you can't refuse" and, as a result, my cherished Vortech SC is up for sale. I figured I would offer it up to the local SoFla crew first b4 going nationwide, since I know some of you have expressed interest in going SC and it will have a good home here.
As many of you know, I take very good care of my car, and the SC is no exception. The kit is polished, immaculate and runs perfectly. You WILL get an easy 100+ HP to the wheels with this kit WITH NO OTHER MODS. I have the dyno to prove it: http://beta.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=176722.
Some facts: The kit was installed in December 2003 by Neil Miller at Rick Case (the BEST S2000 tech you will find) and has only 3,000 miles on it. It came with a 3 year factory warranty from Vortech, SO THERE ARE STILL 2 YEARS LEFT. The kit will come complete with everything you need EXCEPT the Vortech-supplied Walbro fuel pump. These can be had on eBay for less than $100: Walbro Fuel Pump.
Since the Vortech requires you to tap into your oil pan, I would be willing to swap my pre-tapped pan for your stock one. This should save you some time and money. All I ask is that you pay for my oil change.

Ok, first what are you doing now? Turbo? Yes, you must answer. Second. If you would not mind tucking away the spearco radiator until I can get some money saved back up. A little cash poor after my tuning saga.

As for what I'm doing, you might get it out of me tomorrow nite. Depends on how liquored up I get.

How much was it to install?
How hard is it to tune? I've heard some real horror stories.

1. NO aftermarket exhaust is needed. However, if u want to maximize your gains, I would recommend getting one.
2. Install should run u anywhere from $500 to $2000, depending on where u go. I believe SFP in Miami will do it for $1,000.
3. Tuning an SC, when done by a competent tuner, is a cakewalk with the AEM. I can't speak to other piggyback or standalone units, since I've never tried them.
