Default Does brent still have his shop?

Hey guys, not sure if Brent is still in business but if he is, does anyone have his number to get a hold of him.

Wanted to do a valve adjustment on the car.

Thanks

Over a year ago I sent Brent a check for $50 for a A-pillar Gauge pod for my car. Check was made out to his company Hybrid-Werks. After I sent the check I got a response that the pillar had already been sold and my check had been destroyed. Ok no problem. However, a couple of months ago (over a year later) I see that the check had been deposited? So I contact him and he tells me that he had found the check, and that a previous employee had hidden the check. So he consequently deposited it. Seemed responsible. So I give him my address and ask him to refund my $50. He says he will mail me my refund.

2 weeks go by - no check

Call him and says he forgot to mail it. Give him my address again and email him my address.

3 weeks go by (I'm busy) - no check

Call him again. Says he mailed it but it god returned. (bad address) (ok possible) Give him my address again and email him my address again.

3 more weeks (I'm patient) - no check

Email him- Give him 1 week to sent the check with tracking #. If not I would contact the local authorities.

Guess if I got the check? Yeah no.

So local police have been notified.

Stay far away from this guy and Hybrid-Werks.

Sorry to hear about what happened. I know he has had some issues with his old co-worker. I unfortunately had an issue with him as well after he changed out my retainers and did a valve adjustment. Once the job was done, he said everything went fine and I drove the car home. A few weeks later, I decide to do an oil change to find this stuck to my magnetic drain plug.

I then called him since i was afraid one of my retainers might have an issue since i just went drag racing the night before, and he mentions to me then that he dropped it. He said he was pretty sure it didnt fall into the engine bay and wasnt able to find it outside the car. He said he was glad nothing happened and luckily they are small that they cant do any damage.

From what i read, other members recommended to find the piece before you crank the motor since it is a piece of metal loose in your engine. After this experience, Im done with him. I found what he did to be very shady.
