I've got a friend who is a mechanic for a living (at a shop) and also does side jobs if it not something major that requires a lift. He has worked on a lot of local s2000's and always volunteers to help out at my tech days. What do you need done? PM me.

The Maint Req light is simply a reminder light. It starts to blink at around 6k miles and goes solid at close to 7k miles. Just make sure that your service work is done on an appropriate schedule and reset the light. There is a reset procedure in your owner's manual.

I know how to reset it and that it's just a reminder. But I haven't done anything maintanence wise other than changing fluids; oil, transmission, differential. So I need someone that can look at everything and change anything if it needs to be changed. So anyone that can help and doesn't charge crazy prices would be helpful.

Check your PM, I sent you some info. I have a local mechanic who helps out at all my tech days and he knows the s2000 pretty well. He helps with all the mods and maintenance on mine. For major engine work or gear installation type stuff I'd recommend someone like Chip at MTS Auto, but for basic maintenance I got the best guy for you. He won't rip you off and will do work on the side for maintenance type stuff.

His name is Frank and he works at a shop during the day but does mechanic work on the side as well, 786-274-0990. He has helped me do complete motor swaps (not on my s2k, lol) in my backyard in an afternoon, so maintenance is no big deal, lol. Tell him Shawn sent you and your from s2ki and he will take care of you and not sell you anything you don't need.

Hey Jsmply,
Thank you for the info Your the man.
Your friend Frank is Helping me Big Time.
He's doing beyond what a regular mechanic would do.
hes working on my car as if it was his own. doing research and opening and looking at parts that might have problems.
he order some parts for me so Im just waiting on that.
Thank you again.
I would Highly recomend Frank if you need any work done on your S2000.
Plus he got Great PRICES on his services.
anyone else that need a mechanic should give Frank a call
