Chaning Differential Fluid

Chaning Differential Fluid
I have heard to not let Honda Dealers change the differential fluid, because they use the wrong fluid, which can screw up the differential..
I have 19,000 miles, and need it changed.. What kind of fluid do i use, and can I do it myself? or where is a good place to take it?
I appreciate any help.....
Thanks

I'm guessing it's that plunger/pump that Mitch brings to the tech days. I use a screw-on hose with shutoff valve that costs about $2 at pep boys. Get 2 of whatever you buy, and label them for diff vs. transmission - never mix the 2. I use 75w90 MobileOne synthetic in my diff, and use Honda MTF in the transmission.
To change the diff fluid, you'll need 2 things that probably aren't in your standard socket set. The drain and fill bolts for the diff are large sizes - something like 23 and 24mm. You'll need to pick up a large socket for one of them, and a box end wrench for the other. I could give you the exact sizes if I was home to look in my tool box. There's a nice tutorial on here somewhere that lists the correct sizes.
I'm planning to change my oil this weekend, and will probably do the transmission and diff as well.

Like Jeff says, you can use a socket on the differential drain plug, but there isn't enough room for one on the fill plug.
If you get LE-607 fluid it is very viscous and a pump doesn't work with it. That's why Mitch suggested the suction gun for this kind of fluid transfer.
