According to this thread (http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...162#post2555162) Honda is using a new, smaller oil filter for their entire line except for the S2000 which uses a different oil filter. Well this past Saturday, I was there for my 15K service which includes an oil change. And guess what, they friggin installed the wrong oil filter!!!!!!!!!!

Now my question will there be any damage to my engine since they installed the wrong filter??

I already made arrangements to have this remedied by them on Saturday, but should I call Honda Customer Service and file a complaint against Braman so they have it on record in case something were to happen to my engine in the future?

Great I just got off the phone with them again and they are denying that they installed the wrong oil filter and they claim its the right one and will not pay to have to removed, or for the right oil filter part or to flush the old oil out and new oil to be put in.

Tommy, Why are you bringing it to a dealer for an oil change. Half of those guys can't even start our car.

The service adviser called me back and arranged everything to my satisfaction.

Hey Tommy,

I don't think this will cause any damage whosoever. MY00-MY02 S2000s have been using the old filter design for quite a while. We're not seeing catostrophic failure related to the old oil filter, so I suspect you'll be ok until they install the new filter.

Take care,

Rich

I use the same filter as an F-150, more circulation.
