Default Best shop for tires.

Wow it has been a serious minute since I've been here on this site, in this forum or even in my s2k as a matter of fact. But I'm in need of some new tires for my s2k and since I've been out of touch with the scene, I was wondering if I could get some info on who would be good to go to and who to avoid (if any). On another note, it's good to see these forums are still up and alive.

If you're looking for a specific size or tire, buy them through Tire Rack. They usually have the best prices as far as sets of special order tires. When you need them mounted, JP Tuning in Hialeah (1081 East 52nd Street, Hialeah FL 33013) is a great shop to have them mounted at, and they're reasonable (about $30 to mount and balance a set).

You can have the tires ship to them and just head over for install? I need some new rubber for the Civic

Yeah, or you can order through them, Jorge has a tire rack account so they'd just be shipped to his shop.

Finally got around to ordering some tires for the Civic. Giving JP a call soon. I went with ordering from Amazon since I am a Prime member I should have them in a couple of days and didn't have to pay for shipping.

Nice dude! Let me know when you swing by and I'll try and do your headlights at the same time.

Can anyone suggest a shop that is the best of the best when it comes to mounting tires? Anyone have experience mounting tires on painted wheels (not powder coated)? I'm debating whether or not to paint with tires already on the wheels or not. Someone told me it was impossible to mount tires on painted wheels without reworking after. I'm committed at this point but will be the last set of wheels I paint if it all goes sideways.

Jeff recently I've been using Fortuneminds in FTL, on Commercial Boulevard right off 95. It's about 80 bucks to mount/balance a set, and they the most careful I've ever seen with wheels. They cater to the show-car/stance scene, so they take care of dudes wheels haha.
