Authentic/Unique Miami Restaraunts?
In a few weeks I'll be coming down to Miami with the family for a few days.
A rule I have whenever I travel is that I never eat at huge chains or fast food joints. I love food and love trying new things from new places.
I don't care if its a formal restaurant with dress requirements, or a truck on the side of the road. I'm looking for good food here.
I like all varieties and uniqueness is definitely a plus.
So what places would you guys suggest?

Still trying to decide where we are going to stay, so don't worry about that. Doesn't really matter anyways. I'm more than willing to travel all the way across town for really good food.

Go to the Rusty Pelican on Biscayne Bay, it's right by the Miami Seaquarium. It's pretty expensive but the food, service, and decor is awesome.
I'd also check at Tijuana Taxi Cab Co. in Davie. It's cheap and the food is spectacular.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I love Cuban food, so I'll probably hit those up first. Boliche is my favorite.
If its a chain that is specific to the city/area then sometimes I will make an exception. I mostly meant no national chains.

Google "La Camaronera" Its a hole in the wall, that serves some of the freshest seafood in Miami at super cheap prices. Its far from fancy, its a stand up restaurant in a small strip mall. Just about everything they serve is fried (all freshly caught seafood)
