There seems to be a rash of these, and Scarlet is the latest victim. One the way home this evening a woman driving a van ran a stop sign and we collided - her left front with my right front. I hadn't even left campus. The Davie police came and issued her a citation. The other driver says that her insurance will take care of it.

The damage appears to be restricted to the fender, bumper cover, headlight and supporting structures. The hood appears to be undamaged. Unfortunately, the car is not drivable, so I loaded it up on the trailer and it's now sitting in front of my house looking pretty forlorn.

I'll be searching for a good body shop and taking it in for an estimate on Friday, starting with the shops mentioned in the other threads.

At least no one was hurt. I would use Sunshine Collision in Boca. A lot of the guys and girls have used them.

You've seen the work on my car. They did an equally good job on my beater too. If you don't mind taking the car up to Boca I know they will make her as good as new. If you'd like their number or directions let me know...

if you want, we could maybe go to the body shop together, and see if they'll give us a better rate for both cars....
