THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED FOR A LATER DATE
You peeps asked for this event in this thread (http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...threadid=193809) now we're gonna make it happen!
I called and talked to the peeps at Speed Indoor Karting in Fort Lauderdale. There are two group rate options.
Group Rate Options.
- $30/person for a 30 Lap Race. We will be mixed in with the public.
- $60/person (minimum 15 peeps required) for an hour of track time or $45/person (minimum 20 peeps required) for an hour of track time. This package will include our own private track room, track marshalls, race director and our own custom race programme. For example, we could do a 60 lap race with teams of 2 (30 lap per person and driver change) or whatever we want. 10 peeps racing on the track on the same time max.
If this works out well, perhaps we can form our own league and race once a month. Sometime to think about as well.
Requirements.
- Helmet is required. Either bring your own or use theirs.
- No sandals, open toe shoes, or high heels for the ladies or you cross dressing guys.
- Limited to 20 racers only so first come first serve.

Idea... we can do a F1-like format. If we can get 20 racers which I think we will have, divide up into 10 teams of 2 peeps each. We could have a 1 lap qualifying, which this place can do (I asked already) and race in 2 heats of 10 racers doing 30 laps.
Or... we can do an Endurance-like format. 20 racers divided into 10 teams of 2. Qualify. Race 60 laps total. First person does a 30 lap session. Pit in, change drivers. Second driver does the final 30 laps. This was suggested by the person I spoke with.
Opinions or other ideas?
